Aims & Objects:

 To build up a huge collections of books for reading and selling in local area.

To encourage people to read book and to give book as gift, prize in social occasions,

religious festivals and competitive programs.

To arrange various book-centric programs such as book review competition, quiz

competition etc. among the students. To also organize seminar, inter school, inter college

debate competition occasionally for inciting the practice of unfettered intellect.

To publish a literary journal yearly with creatives, intellectual writings of local writers to

inspire the exercise of art and literature in local area.

To play a vital role for establishing a knowledge-based enlighten society.

Functions

We manage a congenial environment for the readers to read book sitting our bookshop from an immense collections as his/her wish. We also keep some dailies, journals and magazines for readers.

We specially maintain a shelves of books for job seekers.

We also collect huge number of old books as reference books for selling to the students of Degree Pass and Honours in different disciplines who are not capable to buy new books.

We allow the readers to bring a book in home for a certain period  just being a member of Uttoran Pathcakkro and Pathaksonggho through an online registration paying taka 300/- for student and taka 500/- for others for one year.  

A book review competition is arranged by Uttoran Pathcakkro and Pathaksonggho quarterly among the students. Best reviewers are rewarded through a formal program. A quiz competition is also arranged half yearly among the school and college students and ten best competitors are rewarded.

Uttoran Debating Club arranges inter school and inter college debate competition occasionally.

We publish a literary journal yearly with the writings of local writers.

We keep a humanitarian rack of textbooks in where people can donate new or old textbooks for poor students and from where only needy students can collect them. Otherwise we can reach the students to give them away.  

Our registered members always enjoy a special commission in case of buying books.

 We are trying continuously to have a rich collections of different kinds of books for selling and reading.
